GUWAHATI: Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) treated over 10 lakh patients in 2024, according to its annual report.

The Outpatient Department (OPD) recorded 10,12,188 patients, while 1,13,749 patients were admitted to the Inpatient Department (IPD).
Emergency cases reached 1,43,485 during the year.
The hospital conducted 29,061 major surgeries and 19,901 minor surgeries. A total of 13,172 births were recorded, alongside 8,118 deaths.
GMCH also handled 28,122 medico-legal cases and treated 719 burn cases.
