GUWAHATI: Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) imposed fines on two residents from Machkhowa and GMCH Road in Guwahati for creating unhygienic living conditions and dumping waste in their localities on December 3.

GMC officials highlighted the importance of collective responsibility in maintaining the city’s cleanliness and urged all residents to cooperate by adhering to waste management and hygiene guidelines.
GMC took to X to put out, “If you dump garbage and/or C&D wastes on the roads, please be prepared to pay the penalty. Today, GMC imposed fines on two residents of Machkhowa & GMCH Road for creating unhealthy & inconvenient living conditions for other citizens.
