GUWAHATI: Megha Nidhi Dahal, who is currently the Commissioner of Guwahati Municipal Corporation, will now also serve as the Commissioner of Transport for Assam. An IAS officer of the 2015 batch, Dahal has been assigned additional responsibilities.

The Government of Assam has announced personnel changes in a notification issued by the Department of Personnel on Thursday, June 20. The changes are made in the interest of public service, as directed by Governor Gulab Chand Kataria.
In a parallel move, Ankur Jain, an IPS officer of the 2011 batch, who has been serving as the Commissioner of Transport for Assam, has been relieved from his current duties. Jain is set to return to his home department for a regular posting within his parent cadre.
