GUWAHATI: A girl student of Gauhati University allegedly attempted suicide on Monday, September 17.
The student has been identified as a 21-year-old warder of the RCC-7 hostel of the university who is from Hojai, Lanka near Nagaon.
She is a third semester, post graduate student from the Education Department.
The student was allegedly found unconscious under mysterious circumstances at her hostel room at the university campus in Jalukbari.
She is now under treatment in a city-based hospital. The reason for her suicide attempt is yet to be known.
