Founder Member of ULFA and Ex-MLA, Bhadreswar Buragohain Passes Away

GUWAHATI: Bhadreswar Buragohain, one of the founder members of banned militant outfit United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA) and former Sonari MLA, passed away in Guwahati.

Buragohain passed away at the Dispur Polyclinic in Guwahati on February 26.

Buragohain was instrumental and actively associated during the Assam Agitation. He also served as the Deputy Speaker of the Assam Legislative Assembly and was later elected to the Rajya Sabha in 1990.
