GUWAHATI: Former Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs Arun Jaitley passed away today, August 24 at 12:07 pm aged 66.
It should be noted that Jaitley had been admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) since August 9 where he was undergoing treatment under the supervision of a multi-disciplinary team of doctors.
A week before his demise, many political leaders such as Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Ram Nath Kovind, Union ministers Amit Shah, Harsh Vardhan and Ashwini Choubey, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh visited Jaitley in the hospital.
