Addressing the political climate, Islam stressed the importance of the upcoming Lok Sabha election, calling it a historic event with a united opposition challenging the ruling BJP. He criticised the BJP for allegedly using deceitful tactics during the 2019 elections, stating that the party’s electoral promises were mere illusions that people have since recognised.

The AIUDF manifesto also addressed economic and social issues faced by religious minorities and Bengali-speaking residents in Assam. It proposed creating a citizens’ register based on the March 25, 1971 cut-off to address the issue of illegal immigrants. The party committed to resolving the "D" voter problem, conducting surveys in riverine areas to establish revenue villages, and implementing measures to combat floods and erosion in the state.

The AIUDF is contesting in three of Assam's 14 Lok Sabha constituencies. AIUDF chief Badruddin Ajmal, who currently represents the Dhubri parliamentary seat, is seeking a fourth consecutive term.
