GUWAHATI: The police apprehended five individuals operating as Teer Agents in Dhubri on November 14.
The operation, carried out by Dhubri Police, resulted in the arrest of these individuals involved in the Teer game.
During the arrests, authorities seized several mobile phones containing records related to TEER calculations. Additionally, a substantial amount of cash linked to the Teer operations was also confiscated.
Teer, a popular traditional archery-based betting game in the region, has been a cause for concern due to its unregulated nature and potential for illegal activities.
Dhubri Police took to X to put out, “5 (Five) "TEER" agents were arrested by @Dhubri_Police in the last few days! Several mobile phones with records of Teer calculations and large amount of cash were also seized!”
