GUWAHATI: Ahead of the Filmfare awards 2020, which will be held in Guwahati on February 15, renowned singer Zubeen Garg said that Filmfare Awards has no connection with the ongoing Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) protests and that he will attend the event if he gets invited.
"Filmfare has no connection with CAA. These types of events should be organised in Assam. I'll go to Filmfare if they invite me," Zubeen Garg said at Kalaguru Music Festival.
"We can't boycott culture, sports, cultural activities and economy. Our protest is against CAA only, not against others," he added.

Meanwhile, authorities from the Assam government on August 10 said that Rs. 300 Crore has been sanctioned to promote the state as a global tourist destination.
