GUWAHATI: A woman and her 3-year-old daughter met with a fatal accident in Dibrugarh’s Moran early this morning today, April 23.

Both of them were passengers in a rented four-wheeler vehicle, which collided with a stationary truck parked alongside the highway.

Despite efforts from bystanders and locals to rescue them, the woman, identified as Bibi Akhtar (38) from Khumtai in Moran, succumbed to her injuries at the accident site.
Tragically, her toddler daughter also lost her life while being transported to the hospital.
Talking to GPlus, a police official from the Moran Police Station said, “The accident was very gruesome. It occurred this morning and both of them lost their lives. Further investigations are underway”
The rented vehicle was reportedly en route from Guwahati city to Moran when the accident occurred. Further details on this case are still awaited
