The Assam Police has registered as many as 147 forged or misleading NRC document cases across the state. The police, along with the CID is supervising the documents and it has already filed chargesheet in connection with the cases.
The investigation teams with the help of forensic experts are supervising the cases and the documents.
The police expects many more such forged document cases to come to light in the future.
