Koushik Kumar Kashyap (22), a 4th semester Mechanical Engineering student of Royal Global University, allegedly committed suicide in the hostel of the institute on Friday night.
According to initial reports, Koushik hung himself to death.
Speaking to G Plus, Garchuk Police said, "Koushik went out with his friends on Friday night. He returned back to hostel in a drunk state and had to be escorted by security guards from the university gate to the hostel room."

Garchuk Police is currently investigating the matter.
