Under the new structure, domestic consumers will see a reduction of ₹1 per unit, offering relief just ahead of the peak summer season. This tariff cut comes as part of the state assembly's budget announcement, intended to ease the financial burden on households during the hot months.
Additionally, agricultural, industrial, and commercial electricity fees will be reduced by 25 paise per unit.
The reduction in tariffs is expected to benefit a wide range of consumers, from households to businesses, and help manage the increased electricity demand during the summer.
