GUWAHATI: The Draft Electoral Rolls for the 2024 Panchayat Elections in Assam were published on Friday, December 13, reflecting changes brought about by the fresh delimitation of constituencies for Gaon Panchayats, Anchalik Panchayats, and Zilla Parishads. The revised rolls cover 27 districts, excluding Sixth Schedule and municipal areas.

The updated voter statistics for these districts are as follows:

Total Zilla Parishad Constituencies (ZPCs): 397
Total Anchalik Panchayat Segments (APS): 181
Total Gaon Panchayats (GP): 2,193
Total Wards: 21,930
Polling Stations: 23,781
Total Voters (Tentative): 17,554,589 (8,829,927 male, 8,724,274 female, 388 others)
The Draft Electoral Rolls can be accessed at the offices of the Gaon Panchayats, Block Development Officers, Zilla Parishads, District Commissioners, and online via the State Election Commission's website (ermssec.assam.gov.in). Voters can verify their inclusion by using their EPIC number or by downloading the rolls for their polling stations from the website's citizen corner.
Residents may file claims and objections regarding entries in the draft rolls from December 14 to 21. Voters seeking to raise issues can contact their respective Electoral Registration Officers (EROs), Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs), or District Authorities for guidance. The necessary forms for claims and objections are available both online and at local government offices.
