In view of ensuing Rongali Bihu, 2018 Deputy Commissioner Kamrup Metro Virendra Mittal detailed Addl. Deputy Commissioner, SDO and Asstt. Commissioner for Bihu festival duty to supervised and monitor the smooth conduct of Bihu celebration along with the concerned officials from other departments to assist for the purpose by dividing the district into three division.
The team will monitor and supervise:
- The structural safety of the Bihupandals
- Cleanliness and Hygiene of the Bihufunction venue
- Provision of drinking water facilities
- Proper parking arrangement
- Electrical safety assessment
- Arrangement of Fire safety measures
- Traffic management
- Crowd Control measures
