GUWAHATI: The Court Of Civil Judge of Kamrup(Metro) has stayed operation of the decisions/resolutions taken/ passed in the Extraordinary General Body Meeting of the Assam Public Work Department Engineers Service Association (APWDESA) reorganising the association.

The meeting was held April 3, while the injunction order was passed by the court on April 10.

As reported earlier, the APWDESA was reorganised in the Extraordinary General Body meeting which was presided over by Abani Sharma.
The meeting selected Bhaben Sharma and Nripen Bhuyan as the President and Secretary of the APWDESA respectively, which was challenged before the court by the President of the Association.
The petitioner association was represented by advocates Anirban Das and Nazrul Khan.
