GUWAHATI: The final judgement on the 2004 Dhemaji blast case was delivered on Thursday, July 4 by a Dhemaji court where eight accused in the case have been acquitted by the court and six have been declared as proclaimed offenders.
It should be noted that this news comes after almost a fifteen year wait for the blast victims.
A total of 17 school children, including nine girls were killed and 40 more were injured in the bomb blast. The blast took place around 9:00 am on August 15, 2004 at the entrance of Dhemaji College.
