GUWAHATI: As soon as the announcement came in that the Budget Session of Rajya Sabha has been adjourned sine die there was a lot of joy in the anti-CAB camp holding the fort in New Delhi for the past few days.
KMSS leader Akhil Gogoi was seen running and hugging media persons and Congress MP Bhubaneswar Kalita and others present outside the parliament.
"Today we won. Assam has been saved, the Constitution has been saved and the northeast has been saved. Never thought that will receive such a good news and became a witness of this moment in the Rajya Sabha. Me and Palash Changmai were inside the house and then the house was adjourned. I thank the opposition parties of the country and we will invite and felicitate them."
