GUWAHATI: The number of coronavirus cases in India has risen to 5734, according to the data released by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
Out of these, 5095 cases are active with 473 patients having been cured, discharged, or migrated.
The cases also include 71 foreign nationals.
So far in India, 166 people have died as a result of coronavirus.
It should be mentioned that Maharashtra has reported the maximum number of coronavirus cases in the country, with the state tally climbing to 1297 as on Thursday, April 9.
Meanwhile, Assam has reported 28 positive cases, 27 of which had connections with the Nizamuddin Markaz.
