GUWAHATI: Assam recorded 102 new cases as per health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s latest tweet at 11.55 pm on June 19.
With this rise in numbers, the state has a total of 5,006 coronavirus positive cases of which 1,928 are active. While 3,066 persons have been cured and discharged, 9 succumbed to the virus.

The health minister also lauded the efforts of healthcare workers announcing a recovery of over 61 percent of total patients.
“Numbers in the graphic tell the story of tireless work of our doctors and paramedic staff. Over 61% of the total patients are back home. The remaining shall soon go back. Our testing continues,” tweeted the minister.
