GUWAHATI: A senior police official of Assam, vide twitter, informed that 308 police personnel from Assam Police have tested positive so far for the infectious disease as on July 7.
Around 80 percent of the policemen who have tested positive for the disease are from Guwahati city which is currently a hot bed of COVID-19 in the state.

“July 7th 2020 - @assampolice 308 personnel tested positive for Covid till date, out of whom 68 have recovered,” tweeted, GP Singh, ADGP (L&O), Assam.
Police and security personnel are being largely affected by the novel coronavirus, now that the state has fully entered the pandemic.
