Coronavirus Outbreak: Job Loss, Pay Cut on Cards for Many

GUWAHATI: The nationwide lockdown to battle coronavirus pandemic is likely to result in huge job losses, pay cuts and freeze on hiring over the next few quarters. 

This was suggested by Assam state minister Himanta Biswa Sarma during a press meet in Guwahati.

"As per reports, job loss in India will be 50 percent," he said hinting at difficult times for the private sector employees in the coming times.
