Congress alleges State Govt on AIIMS issue

Assam Pradesh Youth Congress have alleged that the newly formed State Government led by Sarbananda Sonowal is creating rift between the people, on the issue of setting up of AIIMS in the State. Commenting on the issue, APCC Secretary, Bibhuti Bhusan Barthakur said that State Government had engaged BJP MLA from Jagiroad Pijush Hazarika to form an AIIMS Demand Committee at Jagiroad overnight with the intention to divide the people of Central Assam and to weaken the demand for setting up the premier institute at Raha. On a separate press statement, APCC has announced to hold an extended committee meeting at Rajiv Bhawan on 31st July, to review the political situation of the State.
