GUWAHATI: Chief Minister Sarbanada Sonowal was elected as the President of the Assam Olympic Association on November 10.
It is to be mentioned that earlier, Sonowal was also a Union Sports Minister for 2 years before he quit to become the Chief Minister of Assam.
Lakhya Konwar was elected to the post of General Secretary and Tapan Kumar Das is the new Treasurer while Amal Narayan Patowary, Sanjib Handique, Shantanu and Tarang Gogoi were elected joint secretaries.
