City bus fares to increase from Oct 3, minimum fare to be Rs 7

GUWAHATI: In a joint statement, the Guwahati Transport Association, Guwahati Metro Transport Association, and Deluxe Bus Association have announced that bus fares will be increased from 3rd October 2018. 

The three associations have come forward with a new price table with increased fares. They also blamed the government for delaying and not resolving the issue after repeated requests through media and other channels.

As per the new table, the minimum fare of city buses will be Rs. 7 (previously Rs. 5) and the maximum fare would be Rs. 23.
