All bars and clubs of Guwahati to be under CCTV surveillance of Excise Department on 31st December 2017 and 1st January 2018.
Excise Minister Parimal Suklabaidya has also requested the management of the bars and clubs and the public to maintain a decent environment and celebrate a safe new year.
The ministry has announced to take strict action against those who violate the regulations and create chaos in the bars in the name of celebration.
The Excsie Department in last one and half year, has cancelled the license of as many as 35 illegally run liquor shops in the city.
