GUWAHATI: An incident unfolded in the Garchuk area of Guwahati on April 9, when a minor was snatched from their home around 11 AM. The victim's mother, Sangita Gogoi Baruah, immediately took action, rushing to the Garchuk police station to file a report.

Utilising mobile network tracing, the suspect, identified as Pabitra Das, was apprehended around 4:30 PM near Azara. This swift action led to the safe recovery of the abducted minor.
Speaking to GPlus, an official from the Garchuk police station said, "The accused was known to the victim's family. The motive behind the abduction is not ascertained as preliminary assessment is still on. Das who is in currently police custody will be forwarded for further legal proceedings."
