GUWAHATI: A child lost her life after being hit by falling debris from a building in the Chatribari area on Monday, March 24.

The debris fell from the upper floors while construction work was ongoing, fatally injuring the child at her residence. She succumbed to her injuries.
Following the incident, the child’s body was sent to the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) morgue for further procedures.
Speaking to GPlus, an official from Paltan Bazar police station stated, "We have received a complaint regarding the death of a child due to falling debris in Chatribari. The investigation is currently underway."
