Guwahati Secures 2nd Position In Gunotsav 2025

 

GUWAHATI: Guwahati has secured the second position in the Clean & Transparent category of Gunotsav 2025. The results were shared on the official website of Samagra Shiksha Assam at ssa.assam.gov.in.

According to a press release dated Thursday, March 27, the award ceremony was held at Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra in Guwahati, in the presence of Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Education Minister Dr. Ranoj Pegu, and other dignitaries.

The award was presented by the chief minister to Additional District Commissioner (Education) Casio Karan Pegu and Inspector of Schools Dipika Chaudhury in recognition of the district’s performance.

During the event, the chief minister announced the results of Gunotsav 2025 and recognised 11,594 schools that secured an A+ grade in the 2024 assessment. Additionally, 4,320 students were awarded tablets under the Arohan Scheme. The Samagra Shiksha, Assam initiative also received an ISO 9001:2015 certification from the Quality Council of India (QCi).

Gunotsav is an annual initiative aimed at improving the quality of education in Assam. It assesses schools based on multiple parameters, ensuring continuous improvement in the education system across the state.
