GUWAHATI: Amidst mass protests in the state, the Union Government is likely to pass the Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB), on Wednesday, December 04.
As per reports, the bill will be tabled by Union Home Minitser Amit Shah in the presence of various senior leaders at a cabinet meeting which will held at 9:30 am at the Parliament tommrow.
The bill will likely be passed by the Upper House on December 6 and it will be introduced in the Lok Sabha on December 09 and will be passed by it the following day.
Meanwhile, Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) took out An anti-BJP torch rally in Guwahati on Wednesday evening.
The KMSS workers shouted various slogans against the party and stated that they won’t accept CAB under any circumstance.
