GUWAHATI: The Education Minister of Meghalaya Lakrem Rymbai has informed that all board exams will be held as per schedule.
The DC East Khasi Hills has informed that the curfew imposed on March 1, 2020 from 9 PM will be released on March 2, 6 AM, 2020 to enanle students to appaer for the exams.
The admit card of the concerned students appering in board exams will serve as a curfew pass for the students for any two persons accompanying their ward to and from the examination centre.
Earlier on Sunday, apprehending serious deterioration of law & order in Shillong, the district magistrate of East Khasi Hills had ordered re-imposing of curfew in the city with effect from 9 pm on Sunday to 6 am on Monday.
The areas to remain under curfew include whole of the Municipal area; whole of the Cantonment area; all areas under Mawlai Block including Census towns and all areas under Mawpat Block including Census towns.
