BJP's Rameswar Teli from Assam likely to find a place in new Modi cabinet

GUWAHATI: Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) new MP from Dibrugarh, Assam Rameswar Teli is likely to get a ministerial berth in the new Narendra Modi’s government. 

According to sources, BJP central committee has made calls to the newly elected BJP leaders to offer Ministries in the new government.

It should be mentioned that Teli, the sitting parliamentarian of the Dibrugarh Lok Sabha seat, has won the seat for the second time defeating Congress’ Paban Singh Ghatowar by a huge margin of 3,64,566 votes.

On the other hand, NPP's newly elected MP from Meghalaya’s Tura constituency, Agatha K Sangma is also likely to find a plce in the new Modi governement.

As per reports, a senior BJP leader said that the party's top brass has finalised the name of Arunachal Pradesh's Kiren Rijiju for a second term as a Minister.

Rijiju, who contested from West Arunachal on BJP’s ticket, defeated his nearest rival, Nabam Tuki of the Congress by a margin of 1,74,843 votes.
