GUWAHATI: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) officially announced Bhubaneswar Kalita as their candidate for the third Rajya Sabha seat.
Meanwhile, Bhubaneswar Kalita had already collected the forms of nomination papers from the Returning Officer for RS election on March 10.
Earlier today, Bodoland People's Front (BPF) leader Biswajit Daimary filed the nomination for the Rajya Sabha elections at Assam Legislative Assembly in Guwahati.
Daimary was accompained by Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, BJP President Ranjeet Dass, State Finance Minister Himanta Biswa, Atul Bora, Hagrama Mohilary among others.
