State Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma while distributing the appointment letters to the post graduate teachers on Tuesday, announced that biometric machines will be installed in all government run schools. The machines will keep a track of the presence of the teachers during duty hours in the Government run institutions.
Speaking on the occasion, Himanta said, “The biometric machines will recognise the identity of the teachers during entry and exit. This will make it mandatory for the teachers to come to school, on time, to get their attendance registered."
The State Education Minister also promised academic and administrative development in the state education sector in the upcoming year.
