Bicycle distribution program held in city

Siddhartha Bhattacharya, MLA, East Guwahati, during an event held at T.C Higher Secondary School yesterday, distributed bicycles to 302 girl students of the city, belonging to Below Poverty Line. Present during the event which was headed by Dr Chayanika Sharma, Principal, were Barnali Sharma, GMDA Commissioner, and School Inspector Khabiruddin Ahmed.   During the event, the MLA stressed upon the significance of education within the girl children of the society and said that the bicycles distributed would be of great help to the students in commuting to school.   Stay updated on the go with GPlus News.
