GUWAHATI: As per the new COVID-19 protocols issued by the Assam Government on 1st June, barber shops and parlors are allowed to reopen from the 1st of June, maintaining social distancing.
However, the barber shops and beauty parlours are allowed to provide only hair trimming services and none of the other services that usually part of their regular services.

Also, hairdressers and other staff are mandated to use masks and gloves and do sanitization frequently.
The barbershops, salons and beauty parlors are allowed to reopen for the first time ever since the nationwide lockdown was announced on March 25.
