The special one-day session will take place at the Bodoland Territorial Council Legislative Assembly (BTCLA) complex and has been intended to promote decentralisation and inclusive governance.

Their leadership continues to drive our journey toward peace, stability, and progress.”

The Governor’s address will be a key highlight of the session, as it will focus on strengthening governance in 6th Schedule areas.

Deputy Speaker Numal Momin additionally emphasised that the session would foster communal harmony and unity among Assam’s diverse communities. "This budget will bring together all the people of Assam," he said.

With just days left for the session, Chief Secretary Ravi Kota had conducted a high-level review meeting on Wednesday to oversee preparations. He instructed BTC Principal Secretary Akash Deep to finalise arrangements in coordination with various departments, ensuring smooth execution.

Key areas of focus included seating and catering arrangements for legislators and dignitaries, uninterrupted power and water supply, fully functional sound system and emergency medical facilities, etc. Fire safety measures, security deployment, and traffic management in the region has also been discussed.

Following the meeting, Kota, along with senior officials including BTC Principal Secretary Akash Deep, Kokrajhar District Commissioner Masanda M Pertin, and Superintendent of Police Pushpraj Singh, inspected the BTCLA complex to assess readiness.

It is to be noted that only the opening session will be held in Kokrajhar, while subsequent sessions of the Assembly Session 2025 will return to the assembly’s permanent complex in Dispur.
