GUWAHATI: As the mercury is dipping around Guwahati, administration of Assam State Zoo Cum Botanical Garden has taken special measures to keep the animals warm and healthy.
The zoo authorities have installed heaters inside the shelters of aged animals like tigers.
The authorities have also provided paddy straws around the shelters of most of the animals to keep them warm.
As per reports by local media houses, Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) of Assam State Zoo, Tejas Mariswamy stated that several heaters have been installed at the shelter of cats and other animals so that they can keep warm.
