Assam Unveils 'Nari Adalat' And 'Palna' To Enhance Women's Safety And Empowerment

GUWAHATI: In a step towards ensuring the safety and empowerment of women, ‘nari adalat’ and ‘palna’ initiaves were launched in Assam.

The initiatives were inaugurated by Assam Minister of Finance, Women and Child Development, Ajanta Neog. Launched on a pilot basis by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India, these programmes aim to make a positive impact on women's lives and well-being.

The official launch took place at the Srimanta Sankardev International Auditorium in Guwahati, marking the commencement of the initiatives on a pilot basis. 

Taking to X, Minister Neog stated, “Glad to launch the 'Nari Adalat' & 'Palna', launched in Assam by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India, on a pilot basis at Srimanta Sankardev International Auditorium in Guwahati today. These initiatives will go a long way in ensuring the safety and empowerment of women.”
