While 87 Aadhaar centres are already functioning in Guwahati, DC Biswajit Pegu informed that the administration is trying to establish over 200 such centres.

"People who still haven't registered for Aadhaar card may do so in any of these centres. Along with students the parents can also avail the facility. The Aadhaar registration process is completely free, and if any payment is asked for, necessary action will be taken if the issue is brought to the notice of the administration," said Biswajit Pegu.
