Assam's First Plasma Bank Opens in GMCH

GUWAHATI: The Assam government has opened its first plasma bank at the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) on July 3.

Assam health minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma thanked Dr. Lithikesh for donating his plasma. He also expressed gratitude to the team who is working at the plasma bank.

Taking to the Twitter handle, Sarma wrote, "Glad to share that we've started a #PlasmaBank at GMCH. The first convalescent donor is a doctor himself, a #COVID19 patient. My gratitude to Dr Lithikesh for donating his plasma, and to the team who is working on this bank. I encourage cured patients to come forward & donate."
