GUWAHATI: Renowned Sattriya Dancer, Gorima Hazarika breathed her last at her Ulubari residence on Friday, August 5, at midnight. As per reports, she passed away due to old age ailments.
While talking to media, Gorima Hazarika’s son said that she was 83 years old and had been confined to the house for the last two years due to dementia. Her last rites will be performed at Nabagraha as mentioned by her son.

Assam’s Chief Minister took to Twitter to express his condolences over the death of the dancer. Minister of Industries & Commerce and Public Enterprises, and Cultural Affairs, Bimal Borah also took to the social media platform to express his grief.
