Assam: Railway Protection Force Arrests One For Posing as Fake Staff

Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel nabbed one person in Assam on 23rd November for posing as a fake RPF official. The authorities, while conducting joint checking with the commercial staff at the Barpeta Railway Station, noticed one person behaving in a suspicious manner. 


During enquiries, he identified himself as RPF staff of New Bongaigaon and produced a fake RPF ID card No  06/23508, dated 15.4.2019, issued by one Rohit Sharma of  NF Railway.

On further checking, another fake ID card showing him as Sub Inspector, Crime Branch No. 173, New Delhi by Indian State Police Ministry of Defence, New Delhi was also recovered, along with one SBI ATM card and a certificate issued by Jamadarhat Gaon Panchayat.


He later revealed that the fake ID cards were made by him at Malda town with the intent to earn easy money from the public by acting as RPF staff in railways and as Sub Inspector among the public.


The miscreant has been identified as Ful Chan Ali, aged about 22 yrs, of Dhubri in Assam.


He was arrested and handed over to the OC/GRP/Barpeta Road for further action.
