GUWAHATI: Assam Police have confined Cherekapar Police Outpost In-Charge Hardev Singh to barracks following complaints of abuse and misbehaviour against him.
Cherekapar is in Sivasagar District of Assam.

The officer had allegedly abused complainants inside the Cherekapar Police Outpost on the evening of March 26.
Action against the officer comes after the incident was recorded on a mobile phone and later went viral.
An FIR was subsequently lodged against Singh by one Rajib Gogoi at Sivasagar Police Station.
