GUWAHATI: Assam Police has played a major role in supporting the citizens of the state during the ongoing lockdown period.
From helping and feeding the needy to launching helplines for different necessities of the society, the state's police force has done a commendable job.
Now four new helplines have been launched to cater to needs of senior citizens of Assam.
The helpline numbers are 6026900974, 6026900975, 9435215029 and 9132699735.
This was informed by DGP Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta post a meeting held on the 15th April among top officials of the police force along with the officers-in-charge of all the police stations of Guwahati.
By calling any of these numbers, the elderly can ask for any service such as buying medicines and other essentials. The police, apart from catering to the same, will also facilitate necessary transport requirements in case of emergencies.
