GUWAHATI: The Central Organising Secretary of Lachit Sena Shrinkhal Chaliha was taken into custody by the police post anti-Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) rally in Dibrugarh's Borboruah area.
According to reports, several leaders of the Lachit Sena were taken into custody by the police and except Chaliha others were kept confined at the Lepetkata police outpost who was later released by the police after an interrogation.
It is learnt that Chaliha will be sent to Guwahati, where he is also a wanted criminal.
