GUWAHATI: An objection has been filed against the mother of newly elected MP of Barpeta LS seat, Abdul Khaleque.
The objection has been filed by Hridayranjan Nath, who filed for three complaints against the Congress MP’s mother.

It should be noted that Khaleque’s mother, Sabura Khatun, 75, was born in Kalgachiya’s Bartari village under Janiya Constituency in Barpeta district.
When Khatun was presented for the hearing at NSK to provide all the details, the complainant was absent.
Khaleque then termed the filing of the objections as a conspiracy and stated that his mother is an Indian citizen and that her name is also enlisted on the 1951 NRC list and scribed in the 1970 voter list.
