GUWAHATI: More than 1,300 artisans from different parts of Assam have officially joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Assam Chief Minister (CM) Sarbananda Sonowal, who was present as the chief guest at the joining function held at Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra in Guwahati welcomed all the artisans.
The chief minister has called upon all artists to spread the message of harmony in society through their humane sentiments.
Some of the names of the artists include: Manikanchan Burhagohain, Chief Secretary, Sadau Assam Sanaskritik Surakha Porishad, Kailas Rava, Ramen Tamuli, Sanjeev Dutta, Pranjal Baruah, Kukil Singh, Gitartha Priyam Gogai, Bablu Hazarika, Pranab Sarma, Manjumala Saikia were among the team who joined officially in the BJP party.
