GUWAHATI: A man from Assam was allegedly attacked by his wife in Mumbai who tried to kill him.
The man, identified as Bhabishat Buragohain, has been residing in Mumbai for the past 10 years and he married a woman who was a native of the city. The couple also has two children.
Based on reports, it has been alleged that Buragohain’s wife tried to kill her husband as she was having an extra-marital affair. The wife and her consort tried to kill Buragohain by pouring hot water on his body and they allegedly also hit with iron rods on his head.
However, Buragohain managed to escape with the help of his neighbours and reached Duliajan on Saturday.
Speaking to a local media house, he said that his wife had been torturing him mentally and physically but keeping in mind the well-being of his two children, he did not speak up.
The victim has also alleged that he thinks this is a pre-planned attempt to murder him.
Buragohain has urged the state government and the police to help him get his children to him.
