The system has been made available in 32 municipalities, and it aims to simplify the building permit process by allowing citizens to apply online.
Speaking at the launch event, Mallabaruah reportedly highlighted that the OBPS is designed to enhance efficiency, transparency, and accessibility, and reduce the overall delay in obtaining building approvals.
He also emphasised that the initiative aligns with the state government’s digital transformation efforts to improve public services.
This new system will now minimise bureaucratic hurdles and ensure a faster, hassle-free approval process for the state’s residents and builders.
